Experience Matters. Leadership Matters. Our Village Matters.

In almost every election, and in nearly every decision we make in life, we must weigh the difference between what we hear and what is real. Buzz words and promises that you can’t deliver are not what this village deserves. When it comes to the future of our village, experience, proven results, and a clear vision matter.

I bring municipal budgeting experience that comes from years of hands-on work and public service.

As a budget analyst and bureau head for New York State, I was responsible for budgets ranging from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars. As a member of the Board of Education, I worked to develop cost-effective budgets. And growing up in a family that owned and operated a supermarket for 30 years, I understand the financial realities and challenges facing small businesses.

Words mean little without results.

Public service is about making a positive, lasting impact on the community we call home. I have worked to turn that commitment into action through my service and the work I have done on behalf of our residents.  I volunteered for numerous school committee, I served as president of the Scotia Glenville School Board of Education, I was president of youth football and a board member of many other groups and recently have had the honor to work with the Fresh Table of Scotia Glenville.

Experience in contract management and negotiation matters.

These responsibilities directly affect our taxpayers, our employees, and the quality of the services we provide. Union contracts are serious commitments between two parties, not agreements to be discarded at a mayor's whim. They deserve thoughtful negotiation, fiscal responsibility, and respect for the employees who work hard every day to serve our community. Our employees deserve fair compensation, and our residents deserve responsible management of their tax dollars.

Our village has a plan for a strong economic future, and I have worked with colleagues to help make that future possible.

Through economic development partnerships, support for new businesses, helping existing businesses and housing development of different types, I have helped advance opportunities for our community.

I have also helped bring millions of dollars in funding to our village, including a highly competitive, transformative $4.5 million grant. Investments like these create opportunities, strengthen our community, and help us move forward. Securing funding requires hard work, effective partnerships, and a commitment to demonstrating the value of investing in our village.

We can address rising taxes without sacrificing the services that make our village special.

I like all of you am concerned with the rising taxes, however I believe our residents deserve real solutions, careful financial planning, and responsible leadership not a slash and burn mentality. What they do not deserve is to be told is the answer dissolution or destruction of vital services.  Those are not the answers I support, and they should not be treated as our only options. We must explore practical alternatives that protect essential services while addressing the financial challenges we face.

I believe in preserving the heart of our village.

Our services are more than line items in a budget. They are part of what makes our community a place we are proud to call home. We should work to strengthen our village, protect what matters to residents, and build a sustainable future for the next generation.

This is about more than words or empty promises. It is about experience, accountability, results, and a commitment to the people who live here.

Our village deserves leadership that understands its municipal finances, respects its public servants, pursues economic opportunity, and works to preserve the services that define our community.

I believe in our village, in its people, and in its future.  And I will continue working to move it forward without losing what makes it special.
